Back in December, 2011 Ms. Betty Dravis made a visit to the Facebook page for my book The Mission. She was the 29th person to hit the like button and afterwards left me a very kind post. In return I made a visit to Ms. Dravis’s page to learn a little more about her and found that she had recently come out with the book I am now reviewing, Star Struck: Interviews with Dirty Harry and other Hollywood Icons.
In Star Struck, Betty Dravis describes what it was like to interview Stars such as Clint Eastwood and well-known politicians like Ted Kennedy. In the book I discovered that Ms. Dravis and I share a fondness in Music. Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson, my favorite outlaws.
Through Star Struck I have learned quite a bit about Ms. Dravis and how her publication, Construction Labor News was considered the Voice of Labor in Silicon Valley back in the mid-seventies. Being someone who gets out of bed at 5 am every morning to get myself off to work, I have gained a whole new respect for Ms. Dravis.
I enjoyed reading Star Struck and highly recommend that you get your copy and learn more about Betty Dravis and her career!
